Take the next step
Using it as a polyrhythm metronome
By default, the second number is the BPM reference: 4:3 at 60 BPM gives the three-note side one click per second and fits four counter notes into the same three seconds. Voices & sound lets you choose the other side as the reference. That changes playback speed; Hear Base and Hear Counter change what you hear without changing the tempo.
Use Hear Base, Hear Counter and Both to learn the layers separately before combining them. The optional count-in plays the base pulse alone, then starts the complete pattern. With swing, offset and humanize at zero, the downbeat is the shared starting point. Ratios with a common factor can have additional simultaneous attacks inside the cycle.
Start with one side in your foot and the other in your voice. Lower the tempo until each note has room, then use Tap along to practise either part with timing feedback. Practice tools can introduce silent cycles or a tempo ramp once the pattern is steady.
